We are a local group of individuals from diverse backgrounds and faiths committed to working together toward a just and peaceful solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict in the Middle East. We believe that through friendship, understanding, mutual respect, trust, and conflict resolution, we can create a world for our children worthy of their innocence, beauty and human potential. We see the attainment of peace as an incremental process akin to climbing a ladder one rung at a time beginning in our hearts then reaching to other individuals, groups, communities, countries, and beyond. In taking these incremental steps, we are guided by the universal declaration of human rights, justice and equality for one and all. As such, we believe that a sustainable solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict must include ending the occupation and establishing and promoting two healthy states: Palestine and Israel.

     The Eugene Middle East Peace Group is a loosely knit group of peace-makers and it is open to anyone who shares its goals and the spirit of its approach. We host public events in addition to collaborating and sponsoring activities with other like-minded individuals, groups, and organizations. Projects may vary in scope from single evening programs to comprehensive and visionary undertakings. Through these activities, we seek to find common ground for dialogue and to progress in peaceful ways toward peace and security for all. We can make a difference.
